I’m excited to share my love of San Jose Del Cabo with all of you. I fell in love with this place the moment I arrived, and I know you will too. San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) is a city located on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Mexico. San Jose Del Cabo is known for its beautiful beaches, resorts, and golf courses. If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican experience without the tourist crowds, then San Jose is the perfect destination for you.
A love letter…..From head to toe, you run through my veins. Your sun welcomes and warms me up. With each visit, I fall deeper. Your vibrant colors, music, & coral water flow freely. Eres mi tesoro. You are more than just sunsets. You are full of natural wonders and hope. You speak the language of love. I’m forever yours!
HOW LONG SHOULD I VISIT?
This charming city is filled with rich history and culture. The culinary scene is also quite hot, so you’ll definitely want to sample some of the local fare. I suggest spending at least 4 days here, if your schedule permits. Below I’ve shared some helpful tips on getting around town and some of my favorite places to visit and stay. From the stunning beaches to the vibrant nightlife, there’s something for everyone. I can’t wait for you to experience all that this amazing place has to offer.
HOW TO GET AROUND?
SJD, also known as Los Cabos Airport is the major international airport serving the Los Cabos area, which includes the towns of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Here is a tip: Uber is not allowed into the arrivals terminal, So, what can you do? Well, you can set up a car service directly through your hotel or through a local car service company. All Ways Cabo Transportation is a great option that I always use when I’m in town. They’re always on time and professional, and the service is top-notch. If you’re looking for a first-class travel experience, you can’t go wrong with an SUV. The service is lovely as well. The moment you enter the SUV they kindly offer you a bottle water, beer, or soda. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride knowing that you’re in good hands. As far as transportation for your trip, you have a few options. (A) You can rent a car from the airport, (B) use a car service like All Ways Cabo Transportation, (C) or use Uber.
If you’re going to be spending most of your days at the hotel, and evenings at dinner, than Uber is a great option. It’s affordable and safe, and you don’t have to worry about parking or returning a rental car. This is what I usually do: I hire All Ways Cabo Transportation to pick me up from the airport upon my arrival. The rest of the time I use Uber to take me to dinners and other activities. When my trip ends, I order an Uber to take me to the SJD airport because you’re allowed to enter the departure terminal. Using a car service is a bit more expensive compared to other options like Uber, but it’s worth it for the comfort and peace of mind. If you can swing it.If you rather save on transportation, and put more money towards margarita’s than Uber is the way to go. I will end by mentioning that with Uber in Mexico, it will be a complete toss up on what type of vehicle you’ll receive. For the most part the vehicles will be standard economy. Right now, there is only an Uber X option on the app.

WHAT TO EAT?
Flora Farms
Flora Farms is a 25-acre organic farm that’s home to shops by local artisans, a spa, cottage rentals, and an organic farm-to-table restaurant. I’ve visited for lunch and dinner, and both experiences were equally amazing. The daytime and evening views are stunning, and the food is some of the best I’ve ever had. I recommend arriving at least an hour before your reservation. That way, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the farm and it’s shops before sitting down for your meal. Depending on the season, there’s always something going on at the farm: cooking lessons, art classes, and movie nights. Flora Farms estate is so magical that many dream and host their weddings here. The hospitality is amazing, the live music is dreamy, and the food is impeccable. I can’t wait for you to visit and to hear all about your experience at the farm.
El Marinero Borracho
El Marinero Borracho is an authentic seafood restaurant located next to the marina. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy some delicious seafood and drinks, look no further than this local favorite! From 5-9pm on Thursday nights, the cobblestone streets come alive with music, food, and beautiful artwork. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of the local culture. And who doesn’t love margaritas and churros? Theres a ton of amazing restaurants, local shops, and art galleries at every turn. I visited in November and was lucky enough to catch a street performance by the folkloric dancers. I recommend spending at least two hours here.

I was so excited to check into my tree house. The concierge escorted me through the lush oasis and I felt like I was stepping into paradise. This is not your average treehouse. Everything from the design to the aesthetic is modern, minimalist, and zen. My favorite moments were watching the sunrise on the terrace, and falling asleep to the Baja breeze, and soothing sounds of nature under the stars in the most plushest bed. I started my day at the resort by relaxing poolside and soaking up some sun. I enjoyed a delicious lunch and then took some refreshing dips in the pool. Later in the afternoon, I explored the farm and got to meet some of the animals. I even took a puppy for a walk around the mango orchard. Every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was absolutely delicious. I ended my stay by taking a morning yoga class, followed by the most delicious organic green juice. Acre Resort is a truly magical experience.
